Lord Krishna sloka - Krishnaaya Vasudevaaya with meaning in English & Konkani

 Krishnaaya Vasudevaaya is a short and easy sloka for kids to learn. This sloka is recited to offer our humble prayers to Lord Krishna.

Krishnaaya Vaasudevaaya Devaki Nandanaaya ca

Nandagopa Kumaaraaya Govindaaya Namo Namah

कृष्णाय वासुदेवाय देवकी नन्दनाय
नन्दगोप कुमाराय गोविन्दाय नमो नमः

 

Lord Krishna, the son of Vasudeva and Devaki. Also, the son of Cowherd Nanda. Oh Krishna, you are none other than Lord Govinda Himself. I bow to You.

वासुदेवु अणि देवकी लो पूतु, गोर्वान्चो नन्दा लो पूतु,

श्रीकृष्ण तू स्वयं थो गोविंदु देवु , तुक्का मागेले नमस्कारु

Lord Ganesha is the first to be worshipped among all Gods. He is worshipped not only on Ganesh Chaturthi but also before starting any new work. Ganesha took eight avatars or incarnations to save the world from evil, of which, Vakratunda is the first avatar. Lord Ganesha took this avatar and riding on a lion defeated the evil demon Matsarasura. By reciting this powerful sloka, we will be protected from any kind of obstacles in our life.

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा

Mahakaya                              - Large Body


Suryakoti Samaprabha        - shining like crores of Suns

Nirvighnam                           - without problems/ obstacles (Please remove all obstacles)

Kurume Deva                        - my God, make it

Sarva Karyeshu                    - in all my works

Sarvada                                 - at all times.


O Lord Ganesha, the one with a curved trunk and a huge body, the one with the power of crores of Suns, please make all my works trouble- free at all times and shower your blessings on me.

हे (वक्र) घुवन्डी शोंडी अशीले देवा, होड़ आंग अशीले देवा, कोटि सूर्याले शक्ति अशीले देवा,
